A leading global engineering and design consultancy is seeking a Senior Design Manager – Roads & Highways to join their growing Perth office. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and commercially minded leader to play a pivotal role in delivering complex transport infrastructure projects and expanding client relationships in Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of major road and highway infrastructure projects across WA.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project development, including concept design, detailed design, and construction support.
• Act as the primary interface with clients, stakeholders, and contractors, particularly Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA).
• Drive technical excellence, ensuring that design solutions meet client expectations, budget, and regulatory standards.
• Support and lead bid preparation, tenders, and commercial proposals for upcoming infrastructure opportunities.
• Identify and pursue new business development opportunities with MRWA and related transport authorities.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and design staff within the team.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; CPEng status highly desirable.
• Proven experience in the design and management of major roads and highways projects.
• Strong existing relationships with Main Roads WA and a demonstrated ability to engage and win work with them.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• A track record of successful project delivery and commercial performance.
