Join a highly regarded Tier 2 builder on what is a minimum 4-month contract role. Help drive and deliver a challenging refurb, fit out and amenities upgrade project in Canberra, ACT.

Working in a live environment, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a significant government defence project. This role is critical in ensuring that the project meets its objectives within budget, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. 

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Site Supervisor/Site Manager with a head contractor
• Relevant qualifications in Construction Management or related field
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with both the client and sub-contractors
• Experience working in secure environments or projects with defence-related sensitivity is a plus

 
Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the site team, including subcontractors and tradespeople, to ensure efficient project execution
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and performance regularly
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and government policies
• Liaise with client to coordinate project activities and resolve any issues that arise
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and adherence to design specifications
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness
