Senior Estimator

We have a requirement for a Civil Estimator to join a growing tier 2 main contractor. The company operates on a national scale delivering civil infrastructure projects to a range of clients including the private and public sector, state and federal governments.
 
Based from their Head Offices located in Perth (NOR) our client are searching for an experienced Civil Estimator with a strong background tendering on earthworks or road construction projects for tier one mining clients or MRWA.
 
You will be joining an established West Coast team consisting of a Contracts Manager, Estimators, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors to manage and price tenders ranging between $10m - $100m.
 
The role features working flexibility and there is relocation support for intestate candidates interested in making the move to WA!
 
Duties:
 
  • Reviewing tender documentation and preparing drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Preparing and managing cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions/proposals for various design, fabrication, and construction projects.
  • Consulting with various internal teams.
  • Engaging with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Interpreting contract documentation, plans, building processes and procedures, relevant legislation, standards, and codes.
  • Coordinating the overall tender submission process from quantity take-offs and project costing through to analysis of tender documentation and submission preparation.
 
Candidate Criteria:
 
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Experience working for tier 1 or 2 main contractors (civil)
  • At least 5 years relevant experience working in Australian Civil Construction industry (road construction, concrete works, bulk earthworks)
  • Experience tendering on MRWA projects and for tier one miners in the resources sector
  • Ability to use expert estimation software would be good or willingness to learn.
