CGC Recruitment are established experts in providing short term construction and engineering resources to main tier and mid-tier contractors and have been approached by an existing client to source a Safety Adviser to work on a recently awarded project out in WA.
 
Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible work health and safety management plans, provide proactive safety advice to site management and engineering staff. The role is very much field based with a high focus to reviewing SWMS and JSA's so we are looking to speak with dynamic safety professionals who prefer to be out with the crews on site and not pushing paper behind a desk. The project is an expansion of a Battery Storage Facility and scope of work include; Bulk & Detailed Earthworks, Concrete works, Excavation and Trenching.
 
Selection Criteria: 
 
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Safety Adviser role 
- Must posses a Cert IV in Safety 
- Must possess demonstrated experience in Civil Construction 
- Demolition experience is also essential 
- Tier 2/3 Contracting experience is preferred
- Clear confident communicator 
 
The role is a contract position until April next year and will be running a 2/1 or 3/1 FIFO roster out of Brisbane Airport. Interviews are being held now and applicants should be ready to start in the next week.
