Project Manager
 
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager from a civil construction background to join a family-owned civil contractor who have recently experienced tender success winning multiple civil construction projects in the Pilbara region. The business is long established in the Pilbara region with over 30 years of trading history providing job security and continuity of work for their staff.

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our clients’ civil infrastructure projects which include road construction, earthworks and a range of other civils scopes. Our client can accommodate candidates interested in FIFO work on a 2:1 roster from Perth or candidates interested in residential work based out of Karratha.
 
Duties:
 
  • Liaise with clients on project matters and construction methodology and plans,
  • Strong Financial and Commercial knowledge to control budgets,
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements,
  • Liaise with client regarding design, construction and contract issues,
  • Review tender documents and designs and suggesting alternative solutions,
  • Ensure the project is managed in accordance with contractual obligations,
  • Ensure subcontractor insurances and documentation is compliant with contract requirements,
  • Allocate project resources in accordance with project budgets and reconciliations,
  • Proactively provide input in support in the maintenance of a safe workplace,
  • Manage information and conduct appropriate monitoring and reporting duties.
 
Candidate Criteria:
 
  • At least 8 years’ experience working for a main contractor with a focus on civil construction projects in remote areas.
  • Experience working on construction projects involving earthworks, roadworks, drainage, concrete and civil infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, design standards, and construction techniques.
  • Experience in cost control.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • MUST HAVE FULL AUSTRALIAN WORKING RIGHTS
