Join a growing tier 2 main contractor who operate on a national scale delivering services to a diverse range of industries including the private and public sector, state and federal governments. Based from their Head Offices our client are currently recruiting a Civil Planner to support national projects across civil and infrastructure (roads, concrete works, remediation).
 
This is an opportunity to join a highly successful main contractor with over 30 years history delivering projects on a national scale across a variety of industry sectors including civil infrastructure, mining & resources and oil & gas.
 
Reporting to the Controls Manager / Project Manager, you will support team members and projects as required in the delivery of planning and project control requirements. Duties may include:

  • Progress updates, planning and scheduling using Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project
  • Prepare and support in preparation of client and internal reporting,
  • Be able to ascertain program risks and develop with project team recovery measures,
  • Be able to develop EOT programs and narratives,
  • Support the project team in developing and measuring short term programs and progress,
  • Measure and manage KPIs,
  • Understand and support in project costs as required,
  • Be able to support in forecasting both cost and time,
  • Be able to develop tender programs and support the tender process.
 
Candidate Criteria:
 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years relevant experience working in Civil Construction (roads, concrete works, remediation)
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Proven Planning and scheduling experience with proficiency in Primavera P6
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to work efficiently under own initiative
  • Experience working with schedule change management
  • MUST HAVE FULL AUSTRALIAN WORKING RIGHTS
