Job description
Our client are a builder with an established reputation in the Defence and Government sectors, now expanding into the Data Centre space. Operating since 2014, the company has recently partnered with a tier-one organization and is delivering joint venture projects valued at over $50 million. Most of their work is concentrated in Sydney, the South Coast, and the ACT region.
They are currently looking to engage an experience Bid Specialist on a 12 month fixed term contract for Maternity cover, starting in the New Year. They are open to an experienced Bid Coordinator or Bid Manager, and are also hoping to expand this role across the joint venture after the initial 12 months.

They are open to an experienced Bid Coordinator or Bid Manager, and are also hoping to expand this role across the joint venture after the initial 12 months.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with the Pre-Contracts Manager to ensure client focused approach to submissions;
- Content Management – A key focus for this role is the content of each bid
- Ensuring the content provided answers the questions in tender schedules
- Developing content, as required, and utilising previous bids to develop a benchmark and best practice for answering questions and tailoring responses to each individual tender/project requirements
- Developing a response document, utilising the available template/s to collate the information; reviewing templates and continuous improvement
- Developing an electronic folder structure for the response and attachments
- Analysing the schedules to ensure that any documents requiring a Director signature are identified early and addressed through the relevant signatory process
- Meeting all conditions of tendering to ensure a complying bid- i.e., compulsory site visits
- Team discipline – Working with the pre-construction and marketing team to ensure the following occurs:
- Bid Plan is produced outlining the roles and responsibilities of the team
- Bid Production – Completion of final submission, hard/electronic copy of the tender/proposal.
- Tender Tracker - Distribute, update the tender/proposal program to ensure successful completion/delivery of submission response. Provide timely feedback to the Bid Leader if an action of the Tender Tracker will not be met by the required due date. These are detailed task schedules developed in line with the tender conditions and internal corporate governance procedures, ensuring successful project/submission delivery
- Collateral Development - Provide database collateral to bid teams for tender schedules including HSEQ management plans, corporate capability information and assist with compilation of other proposal collateral as required
- Coordinate and be responsible to produce quality submissions within a required timeframe;
- Work with the graphic designer to ensure designs for submissions are client focused and work together cohesively with the content
- Be responsible for sourcing information, production, maintenance and library management of project profiles/ case studies, personnel CV’s and other standard documents used in client submissions;
- Proof-reading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
- Working on layouts and art-worked pages ready in absence of graphic designer;
- Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and how they may benefit the company;
- Provide guidance to team members to ensure a positive approach by the team assembling the submission
