The Company
 
CGC Recruitment are working with a National Tier 2 Contractor/Builder who primarily focus on Building and Civil Infrastructure upgrade within the Rail corridor. They are growing rapidly in SE QLD and have recently secured x3 Infrastructure Upgrades for key Government clients.
 
They are growing rapidly in SE QLD, targeting projects up from $5-300ml and due to this growth have identified a need for a Safety Manager to join the business and work on a $150ml Transport Infrastructure Upgrade.
 
The Role
 
As Safety Manager you will be the focal point for all Safety matters on this project and primary duties will include;
 
- Management of all HSE issues including the Management of the Safety Team
- Conduct out SQE risk assessments to ensure hazards are identified and documented.
- Prepare reports on Safety issues – performance & improvements.
- Issue observations and non-conformances to subcontractors and follow-up on the compliance company systems.
- Conduct trainings for all company employees on safety initiatives to comply with government regulations. 
- Oversee safety monitoring and risk management strategies for multiple construction and industrial job sites.
- Assist companies with rectifying safety and hazard issues.
- Review compliance of paperwork, display and operational procedures to promote transparency.


The role will offer the right applicant a chance to work on a project which is changing the landscape of transportation in SE QLD and is a long term permanent role offering stability in SE QLD for the next 3 years and beyond. The scope of works is both challenging and complex including; demolition, bulk excavation, rail re-alignment, electrification, structures and building works.
 
Selection Criteria
 
- 10+ years experience in a Safety Role 
- Managerial skills and ability to lead a team
- Prior experience delivering projects in the rail corridor 
- Sound knowledge of TMR/QR standards and specs 
- Stability in ones CV (not a job hopper)
