The Client
An up-and-coming Fire Protection contractor who have carved out their own path in the market over the last few years.
Currently undertaking a lot of work on Healthcare, Warehouse, Cold Storage and NDIS projects, they need a Project manager / Estimator to join their team.
The Role
The role will cover Project Management and Estimating for wet & dry fire projects up to a value of around $1m.
Candidates must have good knowledge of all fire systems, the ability to estimate and produce tender documents, and must be able to manage or assist with managing projects.

- Plan and Schedule: Develop project timelines, allocate resources, and track progress.
- Team Management: Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
- Budget Control: Create and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Risk Management: Identify and address project risks and issues.
- Quality Control: Ensure deliverables meet required standards.
- Documentation: Maintain project records and prepare status reports.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects based on blueprints and specifications.
- Bid Preparation: Submit competitive bids and collaborate with teams to align with project budgets.
- Material and Labor Sourcing: Source materials and negotiate costs with vendors.
- Risk Analysis: Identify potential cost risks and suggest contingency plans.
- Project Support: Monitor costs and adjust estimates during project execution.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and provide reports on cost breakdowns.
- Education: Trade background in Fire, or a related degree
- Experience: Several years of project management or estimating experience.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in project management software.
