Project Engineer – Water Infrastructure – Newcastle, NSW
 
We are seeking a Project Engineer for a short-term contract role in Newcastle, NSW, working on water infrastructure projects. This initial 6-week contract offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key projects, including water main renewal, pipelines, and water pumping station upgrades.
Key Details:
  • Location: Newcastle, NSW
  • Duration: Approx. 6 weeks (short-term contract)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Scope of Works: Water main renewals, pipeline installation, water pumping station projects
  • Employer: Principal contractor
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project delivery and ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
  • Assist with quality assurance, reporting, and documentation
  • Manage procurement and scheduling activities
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in water infrastructure projects, including mains, pipelines, and pump stations
  • Strong understanding of project coordination, QA/QC, and site supervision
  • Ability to start immediately and commit to a short-term contract
