Job description

Role Overview:
As a CNC Wood Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC woodworking machines to produce precise and high-quality joinery products. You will play a critical role in ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC woodworking machines to manufacture custom and standard wood products.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications.
  • Select and prepare the appropriate tools and materials for each project.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery.
  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to optimise processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a CNC Wood Machinist or similar role in a woodworking or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and machinery.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable:
  • Formal qualifications in Cabinet Making, Shopfitting or Wood Machining
  • Experience with [specific types of CNC machines, e.g., 5-axis routers].
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
