Our client are a mid tier construction company who work across the civil and construction industries. They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Officer to join their team in North Sydney on a permanent basis.
This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable processes. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Experience in the Construction or infrastructure industries is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage correspondence with suppliers and subcontractors, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
- Process paperwork through all lifecycle stages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile supplier and subcontractor statements to ensure accounts are accurate and up to date.
- Perform transaction entry tasks, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
- Produce accounts payable reports to support financial analysis and decision-making.
- Undertake ad hoc duties as required, contributing to team objectives.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar accounts payable role within the construction or infrastructure industries.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address discrepancies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships within and outside the organization.
