Site Supervisor
Our client is a growing privately owned Civil Engineering contractor who specialise in the delivery of remedial concrete works for a range of industry sectors throughout Australia including the energy and resources, transport and infrastructure, and water and wastewater sectors. Typical services include shotcreting, relining of culverts and tunnels, water proofing, concrete repair, grouting and surface treatment / coatings.
They are seeking a Civil Site Supervisor to lead a long-term maintenance project for a leading miner which starts in the new year. The project will guarantee the successful candidate 4 years of work relining culverts across several FIFO site locations throughout WA. This opportunity is a 2:1 FIFO roster and features 40% site uplift. It also provides candidates the lifestyle option of taking 3-4 months off during the rainy season when site works pauses if desired.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage civil construction teams on-site, ensuring work is performed in accordance with project plans, schedules, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and monitor daily site activities, including safety protocols, workforce allocation, and material management.
- Ensure that all work complies with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to project specifications and regulations.
- Provide on-site technical guidance and support to the team, resolving any issues as they arise.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, daily logs, and site reports.
- Ensure all permits, inspections, and documentation are up to date.
- Drive a safety-first culture, promoting a proactive approach to risk management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, safety regulations, and quality control processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members, contractors, and clients.
- Sound understanding of construction drawings, project specifications, and contracts.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions quickly and effectively.
- High level of attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality work.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Remedial concrete / shotcrete experience.
- Experience working on remote site locations for tier one miners such as Rio Tinto.
- White Card, First Aid, and other relevant safety certifications.
