Well-known Sydney builder, with over 20-years industry experience, requires an immediate contract finishes foreman for a challenging $8M educational project in Mudgee (Central West NSW).

With an experienced Project Manager and No.1 Site Manager already assigned to the project, this is a great opportunity for a skilled finishes foreman to step into a long-term contract role and make their mark. 

  
Background / Experience

• Trade qualification in carpentry, building qualification advantageous
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects in tier one environment ideally working across finishes
• Ability to build rapport with sub-contractors and manage personnel to operate cohesively within a team environment
• Strong buildability, planning & scheduling skills
• Extensive knowledge of building trades, and how to push projects
• Ability to keep on top of safety & company system management systems
• Experience on commercial, health, education projects within occupied premises   - up to $10M
• Above average computer literacy, this builder uses electronic on-site management tools  

 Responsibilities:

• Ensure all finishing work (painting, flooring, carpentry, etc.) is completed to specification and quality standards
• Supervise and coordinate the trades performing finishing tasks, ensuring they follow safety protocols and meet productivity goals
• Conduct inspections to ensure all finishes meet the required quality standards and comply with project specifications
• Communicate and collaborate with other foremen and trades to ensure the timely completion of tasks
• Monitor and manage the progress of finishing tasks to meet project deadlines
• Maintain records of work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the finishing phase
• Serve as the point of contact for any finishing-related questions or issues from clients or other stakeholders
• Ensure the completed finishes are up to code, aesthetically pleasing, and meet client expectations
