About the Role:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced works Inspector to oversee the construction of a circa $100M new car park project. The successful candidate will act as the client's representative, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, within the specified timelines and budget.

We are seeking a diligent and experienced works Inspector to oversee the construction of a circa $100M new car park project. The successful candidate will act as the client's representative, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, within the specified timelines and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection and Monitoring: Regularly inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and Australian building codes.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship, ensuring that they meet the required standards and specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, site activities, and issues. Prepare reports on the progress, quality, and safety of the project.
- Coordination: Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or discrepancies. Facilitate communication between the client and the construction team.
- Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and airport security requirements.
- Problem Solving: Identify potential issues or delays and work proactively with the project team to resolve them.
- Final Inspection: Conduct final inspections and ensure that any defects or issues are rectified before the project's completion.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction inspection, preferably in car park or similar infrastructure projects.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in construction inspection, quality assurance, or a related field are highly desirable.
- Advantageous: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
- Previous experience working on airport projects or in high-security environments.
- Knowledge of airport operations and regulations.
