Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor – Civil Infrastructure
 
CGC Recruitment are in partnership with a leading tier one main contractor with over two decades experience delivering major civil construction projects throughout Australia and internationally. The business works with a variety of clients in areas such as transport, renewables, rail, mining & resources.
 
They now have a site-based opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to assist the Commercial team in the contract administration of packages that include: the construction of new train stations, car parks, ancillary works, hardscaping, creation of bus interchanges, installation of utilities to name but a few.
 
This is an opportunity to work on a major transport infrastructure project valued in the region of $1 billion and be responsible for optimising margins on the project whilst protecting our client from commercial risks.
 
Candidate Criteria:
  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Commercial Law or Construction Management is preferable.
  • Previous Contracts Administration / Quantity Surveyor experience working within a (civil) main contractor environment.
  • Proven experience in the preparation of contract agreements.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles and project control applications.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and SharePoint.
  • Working knowledge of risk management principles and application of process.
  • Ability to measure and read drawings will be highly regarded.
  • High level of technical and negotiation skills.
