Project Engineer – E&I

Our client is seeking experienced E&I Project Engineers to oversee the installation of switch rooms and electrical equipment as part of a major new oil & gas construction project in the Pilbara region. This lucrative fixed term contract provides you the opportunity to work on a leading construction project until late 2026 with market leading site uplift and project completion bonus’ on offer along with the prospect of fulltime permanent positions on completion of your assignment.
 
Our client is a leading multidisciplinary main contractor, ASX listed and operate across a range of industries including the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors. Delivering and managing large-scale project management and construction services throughout Australia, their expertise includes civil construction, structural steel fabrication, modularisation and delivery, as well as structural, mechanical, piping and tank construction.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Workpack development and aiding with planning, scheduling and executing the scope of work including organising project resources, equipment and materials/procurement as directed to meet project or contractual requirements.
• Provide advice, technical or functional information as required to Supervision and project staff involved in the execution of work.
• Identify hazards and advise on safety procedures. Actively monitor work practices to ensure adherence to correct procedures and standards for safety and environmental performance.
• Work in accordance with quality assurance procedures, client specifications and ISO requirements.

 
Candidate criteria:

• Project Engineer experience working on large scale O&G construction projects for a main contractor
• At least 4 years construction experience (not maintenance)
• Demonstrated experience with Hazardous Area construction compliance, preferably in Oil & Gas
• Previous experience working in an Electrical Engineering capacity, developing project/construction schedules and work packs, completing progress reporting and monitoring milestones within the mining industry.
• Clear written and technical skills with demonstrated capability in commercials, budgets/construction metrics and change management.
• Experience should include: E&I Work Packaging, Procurement – cable and tray, Instrumentation, High Voltage, Communications (including Fibre Optic), Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA)
• Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to undertake a 2:1 FIFO roster.

 
On Offer:

• Salary is $150-155k base + super
• Perth based until April 2025 transitioning to site based and a 2:1 FIFO roster with 40% site uplift
• Fixed term contract until October 2026 with 10% project completion bonus
• 11 hour Shift Duration inclusive of breaks
• Camp Accommodation in Karratha
• Flights from Perth to Karratha
• Interstate flights to Perth (any airline) POH capital cities only
