Role Overview:

They are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee the health, safety, and environmental management on our fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and fostering a safety-first culture across all project sites.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  

• Develop, implement, and manage health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines across multiple fit-out projects
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards
• Ensure compliance with Australian Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations and industry best practices
• Provide guidance and training to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders on health and safety matters
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions
• Monitor and report on safety performance, risks, and improvements
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to promote a proactive approach to safety
• Prepare and submit health and safety documentation, including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and risk assessments
• Liaise with external agencies, regulators, and safety auditors when required

  
Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager within the fit-out or construction industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislation and regulations
• Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., Cert IV in WHS, Diploma of Work Health and Safety)
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence a safety culture
• Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
