Location: Sydney, NSW
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Circa $150k + super

Role Overview:
They are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee the health, safety, and environmental management on our fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and fostering a safety-first culture across all project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines across multiple fit-out projects
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards
- Ensure compliance with Australian Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations and industry best practices
- Provide guidance and training to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders on health and safety matters
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions
- Monitor and report on safety performance, risks, and improvements
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to promote a proactive approach to safety
- Prepare and submit health and safety documentation, including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and risk assessments
- Liaise with external agencies, regulators, and safety auditors when required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager within the fit-out or construction industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislation and regulations
- Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., Cert IV in WHS, Diploma of Work Health and Safety)
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence a safety culture
- Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
