The Company
As a Design Manager, you will take charge of both the pre-construction and delivery phase across a 600M prestigious development in the Hills district. To be suitable for this role you must have experience dealing with the DBP Act.
You will report directly in the Head of Design and work hand in hand with the Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Phase
- Analyse potential projects and tenders and conduct risk analysis on all design aspects.
- Contribute to tender bids, presentations, and value engineering solutions.
- Manage the design process to incorporate cost-effective solutions.
- Define and manage the design scope, including functional and structural breakdowns.
- Prepare project-specific design and engineering management plans.
- Ensure efficient communication and coordination between design, planning, and construction teams.
- Develop templates and manage construction documentation.
- Verify and validate compliance with proposed design solutions.
- Track design progress, manage key deliverables, and implement corrective measures.
- Oversee safety in design, risk registers, and client request management.
- Conduct design meetings and manage consultant/subcontractor relationships.
- Report on lessons learned and implement risk mitigation strategies.
