Design Coordinator – Construction, Fit Out & Refurbs

The Position – Design Coord
 

• Review drawings and specifications to ensure the required level of detail meets the needs of the construction teams
• Coordination of all design aspects of the Project and related documentation to ensure compliance with PPR, Client reports and DA requirements  
• Register, review, and communicate receipt of construction drawings and documentation
• Maintain up-to-date document register
• Bring together and lead the consultant team ensuring adherence to the design program
• Coordinate, attend and record design coordination meetings
• Monitor and ensure the design progress is in line with the design program
• Issue requests for information (RFIs) and maintain an up-to-date RFI register
• Attend client meetings and actively participate as required

This role is to lead the design team in house and coordinate between designers to ensure what's being designed can be implemented on site.
 
We are not looking for someone from a design or architecture background. 
 
Skills and Experience
 

• Experience working on construction projects  
• Exposure to Green Star and NABERS
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Australian working rights
