Senior Project Engineer – Large Civil Infrastructure Project Location: Sydney, NSW
Duration: 6–8 Months (ASAP Start)
Rates: Competitive daily rates

A Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (SPE) to join a major civil infrastructure project in Sydney. This is a key role that requires an engineer with strong experience in road, civil, and/or tunnel construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of the project to ensure it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities on-site.
- Ensure that project works comply with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Monitor project progress, including scheduling, budgets, and resources, and report to the Project Manager.
- Manage and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks or delays to maintain project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including method statements, ITPs, and quality assurance reports.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in road, civil, and/or tunnel projects within Australia.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a high-performing team and adapt to project demands.
- Available for an immediate start.
