Role Overview:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical engineering design of projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet the project requirements and exceed client expectations.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the mechanical engineering design of projects, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Conduct detailed design calculations, simulations, and analysis to ensure the efficiency, performance, and sustainability of mechanical systems.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, including junior engineers and drafters.
  • Collaborate with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to ensure project delivery within scope and on time.
  
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, preferably in a consultancy environment.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification is desirable.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including ASHRAE and Australian building codes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality mechanical engineering design solutions on time and within budget.
  • Experience working on projects in various sectors, such as commercial, residential, healthcare, and education, is advantageous.
