Role: Senior Fire Protection Engineer

Experience Required: 5+ Years in Building Services
Salary: $120,000 – 160,000 (DOE)
  
Can you prepare detailed reports, specifications, and drawings related to fire protection engineering?

Do you have experience in liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution?

Are you able to lead the design and documentation of fire protection systems for various building projects, including commercial, residential, education and health developments?

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fire risk assessments and develop fire safety strategies in compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to integrate fire protection systems into overall building designs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices in fire protection engineering.

Key Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Australian building codes and fire safety regulations.
• Proficiency in fire protection design software and tools.
• Professional membership or certification (e.g., CPEng, NER, MIEAust) is highly desirable.
