Location: Sydney CBD

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading principal contractor on large-scale water infrastructure projects. The role is based in Sydney CBD and requires an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical components of water infrastructure projects.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to identify and quantify cost factors.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Review and interpret bid documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Conduct site visits to understand project scope and constraints.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids and tender documents within tight deadlines.
- Participate in bid review meetings and provide expert insights on cost estimates and project feasibility.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and industry standards.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry, preferably on water infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components related to water infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
