You will be joining a steadily growing commercial builder with a strong presence in the Sydney market. The company delivers diverse projects, including fit-outs, refurbishments, and light construction, across sectors such as medical, commercial, education, and light construction
Reporting directly to the Managing Director (MD), you will oversee the operations of the business and manage a team of approximately 30 staff. Collaborating closely with a long-serving Construction Manager, you will play a key role in business development, bid management, preconstruction, project delivery, and team leadership.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director (MD), you will oversee the operations of the business and manage a team of approximately 30 staff. Collaborating closely with a long-serving Construction Manager, you will play a key role in business development, bid management, preconstruction, project delivery, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the MD on business development and nurture existing client relationships
- Lead the Estimating team, including preconstruction and bid management activities
- Collaborate with the Construction Manager to oversee five project teams
- Act as the interface between finance and project delivery teams
- Review contracts and liaise with legal advisors
- Ensure compliance with the DBO Act for Class 2 works
- Oversee HR functions, including recruitment and staff development, in partnership with the MD and Construction Manager
- Foster a positive, inclusive culture and ensure a safe workplace for all employees
- Degree in Construction Management or a related field
- Proven experience in the NSW construction industry across fit-out, refurbishment, and light construction projects valued between $5M and $30M
- Demonstrated ability to manage company P&Ls effectively
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring small to medium-sized teams
- Ideal for professionals ready to step up from a lower / middle management role
