They are a national, top tier contractor and one of the most highly regarded names in the industry. 

Position Overview:

They are currently seeking a talented Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Sydney. This role will primarily involve working on new build and refurbishment projects in the commercial sector, with occasional involvement in new build residential apartment blocks.

As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for designing HVAC systems and conducting heat load calculations to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams to develop innovative mechanical solutions for commercial and residential projects.
• Conduct heat load calculations and perform detailed analysis to inform the design process.
• Design HVAC systems, including the selection of equipment and components.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to address project requirements and resolve technical issues.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on HVAC system design.
• Strong proficiency in heat load calculations and chilled water systems design.
• Experience working on commercial projects, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of sustainability principles and green building practices is desirable.
