The Company
 
This leading established building and construction company have developed partnerships with a number of major clients and engineering consultancy firms to deliver large and major civil projects for residential and major rms projects.

Purely down to projects won and forcing them to grow they are in need of an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join what is an already established team based here in Sydney.

You will be joining a well-structured civil contractor who are known for their excellent staff retention rate, you will be part of a well-structured team reporting directly into the National Safety Manager.
 
The Role
  • Managing and administration of safety systems
  • Driving a safety focused culture
  • Undertaking audits to ensure compliance with OHS, Injury Management and QA policies and procedures.
  • Reporting directly into the National Safety Manager
  • Input OH&S data into Incident Management System 
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and drive risk control
  • Strong ability to understand and interpret policies
  • Develop and execute best practice and stay up to speed with industry legislations.
 The Person 
  • Previous experience in a safety role
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or relevant experience
  • Certification in Lead Auditing/OHS Management systems
  • Drivers licence
  • Knowledge of Work Cover and Injury Management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships internally as well as externally.
