Due to international expansion in to Australia, our client requires ambitious Procurement Engineers to join the new centre for excellence in Melbourne.

Rolling stock Engineers covering all disciplines required, and will play a crucial role in the delivery of an iconic, first of it's kind project in Melbourne.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Contract management including such as payment, letter of credit etc
  • Organisation Australian suppliers for First Article Inspection (FAI)
  • Coordination of Australian suppliers for technical communication and submissions
  • Organisation of suppliers for timely packaging and delivery
  • Organisation Australian suppliers for after-sales services and testing commissioning support work
  • Managing relations with suppliers including production process management, quality management and material delivery management
  • Liaising with the company and suppliers overseas 
Skills and experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant manufacture equipment / material procurement experience or contract negotiation
  • Experience in possessing good procurement knowledge and be familiar with import / export trade terms
  • Good knowledge of local business law and capable of avoiding legal risks
  • Good knowledge of procurement contract. Terminologies of rolling stock subsystems, equipment and materials will be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Mandarin speaking will be an advantage
  • Ability to meet ongoing deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Prior Experience in Rolling Stock or the Rail Industry required.
